If you have ever read a rap blog in your life, this is worth a watch. In one corner, we have Hot 97 program director Ebro Darden, who represents the East Coast old-head side of the industry. In the other is Rap Radar’s B.Dot, an apologist for Southern rap and that snap-yo-fingaz type of shit . In the middle is our man Elliott Wilson, who stays above the fray except for chiming in occasionally with his trademarked laugh. B.Dot throws around some allegations of payola in the industry, and Ebro defends himself pretty convincingly. Does Hot 97 still have its ear to the streets, or are they losing relevance to the blogs?
