Rick Ross Replaces Self With Reverend For “The Devil Is A Lie” Video? Kinda.

Well, not exactly. But this fan-generated clip of “The Devil Is A Lie” swaps out Rozay and Hova for two church figures who have no problem living this life of sin.

The official video is still a a bit away from premiering, but we’re happy to have this version in the interim.

It reminds us of a video that never way, back in 2007 when the super group that never was, comprising Kanye West, Pharrell Williams and Lupe Fiasco, released “Us Placers” and director Vashtie Kola put together her own visual spin on the tune.

MTV spoke with Kola at the time, who was popular for her 1992-themed parties in New York.

The 23-year-old School of the Visual Arts alumna is as NYC as a MetroCard. And as downtown as Canal Street. Born Vashtie Kola, the upstart director’s love of film began when her parents made her older brother and sister drag her along with them to the movies.
