Hot 97 is going from your radio to your TV.
It was announced today by VH1 that the iconic hip-hop station would be featured in “This Is Hot 97,” which is being described by producer Ian Gefland as, “The Office meets Curb [Your Enthusiasm] in an urban version of it.”
Hot 97’s News Director Miss Info confirmed on her site some of the staff that will appear on the half-hour broadcast, including herself, along with outspoken Program Director Ebro Darden, Hot 97 mainstays Funkmaster Flex and Angie Martinez, and the morning team, Cipha Sounds, Peter Rosenberg, and Laura Stylez.
The show will be co-produced by Love & Hip-Hop‘s producer Mona Scott-Young. This will be entertaining! Anyone that’s been paying attention has followed Hot 97’s evolving YouTube channel, which, we hope, offers a sign of what’s to come.
