Beyonce’s “Partition,” much like her entire album, features some pretty explicit suggestions into her and Jay Z’s love life. Specifically on “Partition,” where she sings: He popped all my buttons, and he ripped my blouse/He Monica Lewinsky-ed all on my gown. Which, for anyone over the age of 30 is an easy reference to how Bill Clinton got impeached by way of his extra-marital affair with then White House intern, Monica Lewinsky.
Lewinsky has kept hush in the years since the scandal but for the 10-year anniversary she penned an essay in the forthcoming issue of Vanity Fair and decided to not only open up, but check Queen B over her “Partition” record.
“Thanks, Beyoncé, but if we’re verbing, I think you meant ‘Bill Clinton’d all on my gown,’ not ‘Monica Lewinsky’d,'” she writes in the piece.
