Colin Kaepernick Contracted For 6-Year Extension Worth $126 Million

The 49ers were not about to let their star player go without putting up a fight. In the last month, Kaepernick has been in talks with the team about his future but was slightly halted due to a legal issue that stemmed from Miami. However, since it’s looking like the quarterback won’t be charged, the conversation picked back up and now the deal is official.

Kaepernick’s new contract consists of a 6-year extension that’s worth at least $126 million, with at least $61 million guaranteed. That’s the highest ever promised to a player in the league’s history. Ian Rapoport confirmed the deal on Twitter. Check what he had to say.
