Hip-hop lost it’s true rebel without a cause back in 1996. Tupac Shakur changed the game with his words, matching them to beats that will forever remain tattoo’d on fans’ consciousness around the world. From 2Pacalypse Now to All Eyez On Me, 2Pac made music that reflected his true life struggles and offered comfort to those who experienced the same struggles. Even after his death, his music continued to touch the lives of many and influence the rap game as a whole. Although almost two decades have passed, we’ve gone from mourning Pac’s passing to celebrating his life whether it be through dedications or by reviving his classics. In honor of 2Pac’s 43rd birthday, we’re celebrating his life with WatchLOUD’s compilation of 43 favorite songs from his career that made him great. Holler if you hear us.

43. “Me Against The World”

42. “Dear Mama”

Pac’s heartfelt dedication to his mother, Afeni Shakur, was nominated for a Grammy in 1995 and has become an anthem each year for rapper’s to attempt to replicate, from Nas to Kendrick Lamar.

40. “All About You”

39. “Changes”

Although the song was released in 1998, Pac actually recorded the song in 1992 during his tenure at Interscope Records and it was released posthumously as a part of his best-selling Greatest Hits compilation that was released in conjunction by his mother and Death Row.
