Ten years ago, Jessica Alba played the beautiful Honey Daniels, an aspiring hip-hop dancer who taught dance at a studio in the Bronx. As we fast-forward to the present day, the real “Honey” is out for some serious cash in a lawsuit that claims the filmmakers didn’t ask for permission to rip her life and put it on the big screen.
Apparantly, “Honey” Rockwell acquired the name back in 1994, ten years before the film was released. According to TMZ, the film was basically based on Rockwell’s entire life, from her ethnicity to her occupation. They even filmed at the same studio that she taught at. Even though she waited ten years to sue, Rockwell is seeking a piece of the revenue generated from the film and it’s sequel.
