Pressures of Sophomore Album Release Lead Frank Ocean to Fire Longtime Management

While Frank Ocean gears up to release his sophomore album later this year, Buzzfeed reports  he’ll be doing so with an entirely different team. Now, before you get your panties (and boxers) in a bunch, this has nothing to do with Odd Future…or at least not that we know yet, but that’s not the new team we’re talking about.

Frank O has reportedly fired his longtime management. Christian and Kelly Clancy have managed Odd Future throughout the years (still does) and currently manages Mac Miller and Solange as well. The Clancys managed Ocean since 2010. A new manager has not yet been named and reasons for the drop remain undisclosed.

It doesn’t end there, however. Frank has also made a switch in the publicity department. Formally with Life of Death PR, Ocean is now working with the Hollywood Agency, ID PR.

Keep checking back with us. We’ll have the updates as they come. Maybe he’ll post a statement via his Tumblr account
