Joe Budden Is Not Phased By NYPD; Responds To Local News

Despite the Tweeted bulletin marking him a wanted man, Joe Budden claims he’s more than innocent. Last week, the NYPD tweeted that Budden was wanted for apparently stealing the cell phone of a woman claiming to be his girlfriend in Washington Heights. According to TMZ, he was also accused of beating her.

The report claims that Budden and his alleged girlfriend had driven from Washington Heights to Edgewater, NJ. After finding photos of her with other men, Budden took out his frustrations and left black and blue bruises all over her thighs.

Since becoming a “fugitive,” Budden has been venting towards the NYPD on Twitter, denying the charges and even dismissing the fact that he even has a girlfriend. He acknowledges the “man hunt” but frankly, he doesn’t seem to care.

NBC’s New York Affiliate caught up with Budden outside of his house where he claims he’s not on the run. He also claims that he’s willing to “rectify the situation” at hand. He has fully cooperated with the Police Department of New Jersey but still has a theft charge in New York for the cell phone. Watch what Joe has to say in the news story here.
