Rico Love‘s a singer-songwriter and producer most notable for producing hit records such as Usher’s “There Goes My Baby,” “Hey Daddy” and Beyonce’s “Sweet Dreams” among more of your favorite hits. But he’s taking things to the next level now in efforts to move from the man behind to scenes to the man in front of them. Today he released his debut free album exclusively via datpiff.com. Rico thinks it’s only fair he gives his audience a free project, so they can get to know him, before asking for a monetary exchange.
During a sit-down with G*FM’s Justin D Live Rico talks about how he got the 1st official Bobby Shmurda feature on “Bank Roll,” track 6 on the album. “It’s really organic,” he says. “It’s not like me saying, ‘Bobby Shmurda’s hot right now, let me call him and see if he’ll give me a verse.’” Rico also elaborates on features from Kevin Gates and Future, who he toured with recently.
