It looks like the son of late Sudanese born basketball player Manute Bol is following right in the footsteps of his dad. At 14-years-old Bol Bol stands at 6’10, five inches taller than he did at age 12. In the same fashion as his dad he sports a number 10 jersey while blocking every prospective shot on the basketball court.
Standing at 7 ft 7 in, Manute Bol was one of the tallest men ever to play in the NBA. He was drafted by the San Diego Clippers in the fifth round of the 1983 NBA Draft, but the pick was declared invalid after the league ruled that Bol had not been eligible for the draft. He later enrolled at the University of Bridgeport, a Division II basketball school and played for the Purple Knights there in the 1984-1985 season averaging 22.5 points, 13.5 rebounds and 7.1 blocks per game. Bol passed away on June 19th, 2010 after suffering from acute kidney failure and complications from Stevens–Johnson syndrome.
The younger Bol is considered to be one of the top recruits in the Class of 2018, according to Yahoo Sports. Out of Manute’s ten children it seems Bol is preparing to carry on the torch and make the name that brother Madut Bot failed to make for himself while at Southern University.
