The Source revealed new details about SOURCE360. Along with an eclectic lowdown on what’s to come for the three-day event, the magazine announced that newcomer Vinny Cha$e will be lighting up the stage amongst the likes of Bone Thugs-N-Harmony and the Wu-Tang Clan at the epic concert in Brooklyn next weekend.
“It’s an east coast version of SXSW,” Cha$e told WatchLOUD. “It’s a dope festival that we’re apart of with Wu-Tang, Dipset and everyone.”
The first hip-hop magazine in existence is kicking off their first-ever music, art and culture expo at Barclays Center next weekend September 19-21. For the main event, The Source is “blending together artists who paved the way for up and comers to hit the stage” for their epic concert which features the classic fusion of the Wu-Tang Clan, The Diplomats, Lil Kim, Curren$y, Dom Kennedy and V. Cha$e along with Kid Art.
Along with the concert, SOURCE360 will also consist of several panel discussions on hot topics in the industry, radio and more on Sept 19th. The conference will include appearances from diverse members of the industry including Jason Flom of Lava Records, Bollyhood artist Raje Shware, and more. SOURCE360 will also host their first annual Sneaker Summit on Sept 21st.
“Hip hop is more than just rap music,” said Source magazine owner Londell McMillan. “Now it’s found in film, fashion, sports, technology and gaming.”
