Last night at the SVA Theater in New York City, Ab-Soul strolled on stage with a huge head of hair and his signature light-sensitive glasses for the latest CRWN, presented by vitaminwater®. What followed was an hour-long conversation with Elliott Wilson that covered the TDE rapper’s entire life, from his grandpa’s record shop where he saw people cry over 2Pac’s death, to the passing of his one-time partner Alori Joh and the meaning behind albums like Long Term, Control System, and These Days…

In the second half of their talk, Soulo told YN what his favorite rap album is, who his top five living rappers are, and who he’s hunting down to work with in the future. Fans had so many questions that when the lights finally went up on stage, people were still complaining about not getting called on. The line was wrapped around the block before the show even started and the house was completely packed by the time Ab-Soul sat down on stage. TDE fans showed up in a huge way.

Watch a teaser clip of the interview later today on WatchLOUD, and stay tuned for parts one and two of the complete interview to drop on here as well.
