It’s been years since the Roc-A-Fella familia has linked up to relive their glory days. A few months back, MTV’s Rob Markman wrote an open letter to Jay Z suggesting that he get Memphis Bleek, Freeway, Kanye West, State Property, Cam’ron and the Diplomats and Beanie Siegal together for a reunion tour.
Since the conversation had been initiated last month, there has been some small talk about a reunion happening in the near future. With Beanie Siegal back home from prison, the possibility of the team coming together again is there. But according to Freeway, it’s looking like the possibility is becoming more of a reality.
In an interview with Sway In The Morning on Shade 45, Freeway told Sway that the reunion is “definitely a possibility.” He claims that he is pushing for the squad to get back together and to be on the look out for an update soon enough.
“Me, myself, I’m trying to make it happen to the best of my abilities,” Freeway told Sway. “So stay tuned.”
While Jay Z just ended his joint tour with his wife Beyoncé, the CEO of RocNation has yet to confirm or deny the possibility of the epic reunion. However, should it happen, it would be one of the most legendary concerts Jay Z could bring to his fanbase, from the new generation to the Day-1 fans. Watch as Freeway talks about his new project with Tha Jacka and addresses the reunion with Sway here.
