The end of the fiscal year is upon us and with that comes the official ranking of who pulled in the most cash this past year. Forbes is back with their annual Hip Hop Cash Kings list, which basically allows the people to find out who stacked their racks the highest over the past year. But how do they determine the true cash king?

Here’s how they rank their income:

“The Hip-Hop Cash Kings list tracks pretax earnings for living artists whose work is primarily classified as hip-hop or rap. To form the list, we considered income from touring, record sales, publishing, merchandise sales, endorsements and other ventures. Management, agent and attorney fees are not deducted. Earnings are calculated from June 2013 to June 2014 and based on data from Pollstar, the RIAA and Nielsen SoundScan, and from interviews with numerous managers, lawyers, music executives and some of the artists themselves.”

It should come as no surprise that Dr. Dre tops the list. After selling his Beats Music to Apple, the Aftermath CEO pulled in at least with $620 million. Jay Z and Diddy tied at second place with $60 million earned while Drake broke through the top 5 with $33 million. While previous artists like Jeezy and Questlove didn’t make the list this year, DJ Khaled made his debut by pulling in $7 million in 2014. Check out the full list to see who else was dubbed a “cash king.”
