I bet no one would have guessed SZA had only the slightest of interest in music before emerging as one of TDE’s newest signees, but it’s true! The songstress had dreams of becoming a dancer after being a gymnast for 13 years, but things evidently changed as her older brother pushed her to dive into a lane where he saw further potential. SZA jokingly admits he would “Joe Jackson” her by pushing SZA to exercise her voice and sing over MF Doom beats. SZA admits she’s the type of person that can’t excel when her heart isn’t isn’t something, but then again aren’t we all? Her love for music wasn’t always there, but it sure did grow.
