Ghostface Killah sat down with Hip Hop Wired to discuss Wu-Tang Clan’s upcoming album A Better Tomorrow. The Staten Island rapper spoke about his overall excitement for the album we thought would ever see the light of day. Now that Warner Bros is set to release the album on Dec. 2nd, Ghostface is convinced that if they did everything right, they could put out an album every year.
Ghostface reflected upon his previous legal beef with the RZA and it seems like they both have put the past behind them for the good of the group and the new album. Killah also spoke on his 2009 album Ghostdini: Wizard of Poetry in Emerald City. Even though the title alone was a little off, Ghostface claims that the low sales were due to Jay Z’s album The Blueprint 3.
“My ‘Wizard of Poetry’ only did like 20,000. I was mad as a motherf**ker! But it was politics behind that s**t, because you had Jay Z right there, so I guess they [the label] was more focused on this n***a’s s**t. I just knew that every time I dropped, he was right there.”
