When actor Paul Walker died tragically in a car crash on November 30, 2013 midway through filming Fast & Furious 7, the future of the series was in serious doubt. After taking time out to mourn and retool the script, Screen Gems is finally ready to bring the last screen performance of Walker to the public in Furious 7.
Furious 7 brings back Walker, Vin Diesel, Tyrese Gibson, Jordana Brewster, Chris ‘Ludacris’ Bridges and Dwayne Johnson as they face a new enemy in the form of Jason Statham, the brother of mercenary Owen Shaw (Luke Evans), who is now seeking revenge on the crew for Shaw’s death.
“It looks like the sins of London have followed us home,” Diesel’s Torreto says cryptically.
The trailer crams as much action in 90 seconds as anyone can stand, with cars raining out of the sky, bullets, rescues and Walker running up a falling bus to literally catch a ride on the back of Lizzy’s car. We can’t wait for this one.
Furious 7 is in theaters this April.
