Grande Marshall Continues To Be One Of Our Favorite Rappers With “The Formula”

Grande Marshall’s debut project 800 was one for the ages, hardly forgettable and emotional to the point of being combustible. It got him signed to Fool’s Gold Records, home to Danny Brown and 100s, but the following release Mugga Man didn’t have the same impact. He’s been pretty quiet ever since.

This year, though, he’s slowly started dripping out new songs in preparation for his next project, My Brother’s Keeper, and the latest leak, “The Formula,” proves why we still have hope in the kid. Ben Pramuk and Sam Greens have been supplying Grande with audio dope for years now, but their sound is maturing, becoming more simplified and honing in on fewer, better sounds.

It sounds like Grande is hitting his sweet spot, too, as he discusses finding the formula on this new appropriately titled track. Listen to the new joint below, and look for My Brother’s Keeper to drop on Fool’s Gold in early 2015.
