Tragedy Khadafi is one of the most revered rappers walking this earth. He’s recognized not only as one of the greatest QB spitters of all time, but one of the most influential artists on the entire game as a whole. From his start with Marley Marl and the Juice Crew to his Intelligent Hoodlum days and introducing Capone N’ Noreaga to the world, Trag is responsible for a whole host of classic East Coast rap music. And he isn’t done yet.
Above you can hear “Running,” the second single from Trag’s upcoming Pre-Magnum Opus LP, dropping December 16th. The producer is unknown but the sample is surely Otis Redding’s “Change Gonna Come” and the bars are the kind of stuff that make Tragedy a legend. Weaving tales of a troubled upbringing in with lessons for today’s youth, Trag is still the wounded warrior we know him to be. He hasn’t lost a step.
Pre-order Pre-Magnum Opus on iTunes right now and listen to “Running” above, plus the first single, “Free Thinkers 2,” below.
