Eminem, Iggy Azalea, Common & Wiz Khalifa Will Battle For Best Rap Album Grammy


Earlier this morning, Pharrell Williams and singer Ed Sheeran kicked off the official 57th Grammy Awards festivities by announcing the nominees for four categories. Iggy Azalea, Eminem, Kendrick Lamar, Chris Brown, Beyonce, and Katy Perry were amongst those who received a nod in categories like “Record of the Year,” “Best Urban Contemporary Album,” and “Best Pop Vocal Album.” Williams and Sheeran read their own names in respective categories.

Nominees in other categories have been revealed throughout the day today like “Best Pop Solo Performance” and “Best New Artist.” The “Best Rap Album” nominees were also revealed with Eminem, Iggy Azalea, Common, ScHoolboy Q, Childish Gambino and Wiz Khalifa. Kendrick Lamar, Lecrae and Drake were also nominated for “Best Rap Performance.” The last and most coveted honor for “Album of the Year” will be announced on “A Very Grammy Christmas,” which is set to air at 9 p.m. ET on CBS and will be hosted by former Grammys host LL Cool J.
