Usually, the hardest thing about taking a flight is getting passed the TSA screening line, but even with that task behind him R&B singer Jeremih managed to create a flap at Newark Airport on Friday. The “Don’t Tell ‘Em” singer expected fellow passengers and flight attendants to follow that order when he missed a boarding call for a flight to Phoenix.
According to the NY Dailynews the 27-year-old singer had passed through security but missed the boarding for his US Airways flight, so someone in his entourage opened the plane’s rear door, which had already been closed for takeoff, to let him onboard.
Jeremih was charged with obstruction of the administration of law and disorderly conduct, both misdemeanors. A spokesman for Port Authority police told NBCPhiladelphia that all three men were released without incident and ordered to appear before a judge.
