Nicki Minaj’s third studio album, The Pinkprint, dropped in stores on Monday, and projections for her first week of sales are already looking huge.
Hits Daily Double reports that Nicki is on track to sell between 155,000 and 165,000 units first week. If those projections pan out, she’ll be amongst the top-selling rap artists of the year along with Rick Ross, whose Mastermind album did 179,000 copies first week, and J. Cole, who blew everyone out of the water by moving a staggering 361,000 copies of 2014 Forest Hills Drive first week.
These are strong numbers for Minaj, though they aren’t as gigantic as the first week sales of her last album, Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded, which did 253,000 sales first week.
