Watch Nicki Minaj’s ‘Pinkprint Movie,’ Inspired By Her Breakup

If you’ve heard Nicki Minaj’s latest album The Pinkprint or caught her CRWN interview, you know she’s been going through it. Her latest album has a lot of material that deals with lost love and the hurt of a broken relationship – seemingly drawing inspiration from Nicki’s recent breakup with Safaree “SB” Samuels.

In the official Pinkprint Movie, presented by Beats By Dre, the Queens rapper deftly weaves three different songs from the album – “The Crying Game,” “I Lied,” and “Grand Piano” – into one epic, emotional video. During the flick, Nicki endures painful flashbacks of the best and worst times from her relationship as we the viewer get a better understanding of how everything went wrong.

Nicki came up with the film’s concept herself, while Francesco Caroozzini directed the “I Lied” part and Taylor Cohen handled the other two segments. Watch the Pinkprint Movie above.
