VIDEO PREMIERE: The Black Opera, “Black Nirvana”

Enigmatic rap group The Black Opera left a comet sized first impression when the Georgia Anne Muldro-assisted, “Beginning Of The End” impacted from their fourth album The Great Year, so much so that it landed on our top 25 hip-hop albums of 2014 list. They follow-up that murky warning shot with the equally militant but sonically more aggressive “Black Nirvana.”

Directed by Jay Brown, “Black Nirvana” finds two core members offering eulogy amidst the ruins of a collapsed society as the ashes of destruction literally rain from the sky.
