Let it never be said that rappers don’t get into the holiday spirit. Back in hip-hop’s infancy we got songs like Kurtis Blow’s “Christmas Rappin’” and a little while later RUN DMC came through with the equally classic “Christmas In Hollis.” Nowadays MCs bring a mix of humor, heart and even a little bit of humbug to the Holiday hustle. So we’ve rounded up some recent examples that you might want to make some hard drive space for or just laugh at while you’re drunk on eggnog.

9. Wale, “The Festivus Project”
Wale got in the holiday spirit with A-Trak and recorded a new mixtape to precede his upcoming Album About Nothing, called Festivus. Tracks like “The Chess Match” make it a more reflective holiday offering (which is kinda the point of Festivus), but still one worth checking out.
8. Ludacris, “Ludacrismas”
Before Ludacris was driving cars off of bridges in The Fast & The Furious he was just DJing elf in the movie Fred Clause, so of course he had to cut something for the soundtrack.

The close to the first RTJ album is a “kick you in the jingle bells” Christmas carol called “A Christmas F*cking Miracle” that would make Ebenezer Scrooge proud.
4. The Hellpit Fairies, “It’s The Most F*cking Wonderufl Time”
Fuck a guest list, the naughty list is where it’s at. Jean Grae and Mela Machinko are the devil spawn children of the naughty elves in the “Christmas In Hollis video” and rob Talib Kweli for this Christmas ornaments. No, really.
