The tension between YG and DJ Mustard has hit critical mass. It seems like some underlying dirty laundry between the dynamic duo has been aired out on Instagram. Earlier today, DJ Mustard posted to Instagram talking about not getting paid for YG’s album My Krazy Life. YG switched to defense mode and put Mustard on blast for not paying him for his debut album 10 Summers and his infamous ‘Mustard on the beat hoe’ drop which YG also made.
“I KNOW WHERE YO STUDIO AT NIGGA,” YG said in his post. “& THATS ME SAYIN “MUSTARD ON THE BEAT HOE”. YOU AINT NEVER PAID ME FOR THATT OR YO ALBUM NIGGA!”
While Mustard says that he would “see yo [YG] in 30 killa,” YG posted another picture of his call log which shows him calling Mustard several times. There hasn’t been any confirmation as to what caused the drama to finally unfold or if Mustard really met face to face with YG.
Earlier in the year DJ Mustard revealed in his #CRWN interview that he and YG had a “weird” relationship since gaining stardom this year. He joked that now it’s “a standoff to see who will speak first” if they haven’t seen each other in a while. Seems that tension may have boiled over.
But we’ll keep you updated as the story develops.
