No, There Will Be Not Be A RiFF RaFF & Jordan Brand Collaboration

riff-raff

If you happen to be one of RiFF RaFF’s 848k followers on Instagram, your mouth probably dropped when you saw his post about his upcoming collaboration with Jordan Brand for new Air Jordan 5 this past weekend. The primarily black high-tops featured a pink Jumpman over RiFF RaFF’s name in teal on the heel. In the post, he even named them the “Neon Icon” and claims that the limited release will be released via Champs, Foot Locker, and Flight Club by the summer.

“SHOUT OUT TO MiCHAEL JORDAN & THE JORDAN BRAND THiS iS A PROTO TYPE OF THE NEW NEON iCON RiFF RAFF JORDAN’S THAT WiLL BE A LiMiTED EDiTiON SHOE DROPPiNG iN CHAMPS, FOOT LOCKER, FOOT ACTiON & FLiGHT CLUB SUMMER OF 2015 FOR $750 AND COMES WiTH AN AUTOGRAPHED COPY OF MY PEACH PANTHER & THE PURPLE PANTHER ALBUM”

Not only does the mention of “Flight Club” raise an eyebrow, but most know that images of any Air Jordan 5 “prototype” wouldn’t have been revealed that easily. According to Hip Hop Wired, Jordan Brand has released a statement deeming this collaboration to be completely false. They said they do not have any plans on collaborating with “this individual.” Would you even pay $750 for “limited release” and two of his albums?
