The Seattle Seahawks are going back to the Super Bowl. With a 28-22 overtime victory over the Greenbay Packers in the NFC championship game, the reigning champs will get a chance to defend their title.
It was the most improbable win ever, with Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson throwing four interceptions throughout the game and a late injury to star cornerback Richard Sherman. But thanks to late heroics by Wilson and 157 rushing yards by Marshawn Lynch the Seahawks snatched victory from Greenbay after trailing 16-0 at the half.
The Seahawks are the first team in ten years to make back-to-back Super Bowl appearances and will now face the AFC Champion New England Patriots in Super Bowl XLIX. Tom Brady will make his record-setting sixth appearance in a Super Bowl for a quarterback after his Pats trounced the Colts 45 to 7.
