D’Angelo To Kick Off New Tour In New York City On SNL

Veteran R&B singer D’Angelo has been laying low since he dropped his surprise album a couple months back. The Black Messiah gave the new generation a lesson in what real rhythm and blues is supposed to sound like while he reignited an old flame that his loyal fans were missing for a long time. But now that he’s back on the scene, the “Brown Sugar” singer will be hitting the road for an international tour. What better place to start than New York City?

D’Angelo has been booked to perform on “Saturday Night Live” at the end of this month. No word yet on his involvement with all of their hilarious sketches. But comedian J.K. Simmons is set to host so maybe he can convince him to crack a joke or two with the SNL crew. After his show at the Apollo Theater, D’Angelo will be traveling around Europe along with the Vanguard band to bring his third studio album to stages in England, Denmark, Germany and more all throughout February.
