We couldn’t make this shit up. Remember a couple months ago when we showed you a picture of Charles Hamilton in the studio with the Invisible Men, the producers behind Iggy Azalea’s mega hit “Fancy”? And then about a week ago, we tweeted a picture of Hamilton and Rita Ora backstage at an iHeart Radio show? Now it all makes sense.
Turn First Records, which is some sort of hybrid management/branding company and record label, is listing Charles Hamilton as one of their artists on their website. Iggy Azalea and Rita Ora are also listed as Turn First artists, but the website is a little confusing in terms of categories.
Under “Management,” Turn First lists Iggy, Ellie Goulding, Rita Ora, and others, but no Charles. Right under that is an “Artists” section, which also includes Iggy along with Bishop Nehru, Charles Hamilton, and other artists. So while it doesn’t look like Charles is being managed by Turn First, it does appear as though they’ll be releasing records from him.
Confusing, to say the least, but here’s the bottomline – Charles Hamilton is planning a comeback, and he’s aligning himself with some huge names. Stay tuned for more info.
