Those who follow ATL’s most popular trio Migos on Instagram, then you probably noticed the immediate backlash they received last night. The “Versace” rap group and their label Quality Control Music decided to make a donation to their alma mater Booker T. Washington High School in Atlanta. They posted a picture of themselves, producer Rich Tha Kid, OG Maco and some staff members holding an over-sized check for a mere $1,000. That’s only $333.33 between the three of them.
One stack isn’t even a reasonable asking price to get them to make an appearance let alone perform a song. Now, Quavo, Offset and Takeoff are known for balling out of control in their videos and poppin’ bottles in VIP of every club they go to. You can feel the shock that users on Instagram were in when they saw their small donation just by the comments on the post, which is the most comments they’ve ever received on any of their pictures. We can commend them for donating to a school, but couldn’t the label have spared more than one rack? They rap about materialistic items that are worth more than that. Here are several items that Migos have rapped about that cost more than their donation.
