Hip-Hop And Beyond Mourns The Death Of Dust La Rock, Co-Founder Of Fool’s Gold Records


It’s the people in the spotlight the least who usually put in the most work. Joshua Prince, aka Dust La Rock, has passed away at age 38. La Rock was a co-founder of Fool’s Gold Records, along with DJs A-Trak, of Duck Sauce fame, and Nick Catchdubs. A-Trak confirmed his passing via Twitter:

La Rock was also a major artistic contributor to the eight-year-old Brooklyn-based label. He was a graphic designer who helped create many album covers that came out of the label, and worked with Nike and Scion on some independent projects. No details on his death have been released, but the independent community is mourning his loss all the same:
