In February 2015 Kanye West was a ubiquitous presence in media, both social and traditional. You couldn’t toss 140 characters in any direction without tripping over a mention of either Kanye, his wife, his baby, his clothes, his in-laws or his exes. He’d be the first to tell you that he is making Black history everyday, so if you lost track of everything he did we’ve got the catch up for you right here.
Kicked things off with a post-Super Bowl double date at The Waffle House with John Legend and his wife Chrissy Teigen.
He released “FourFiveSeconds” video with Rihanna and Paul McCartney
Photos from his wife Kim’s nude photo shoot in Love magazine are revealed:
Aspiring rapper Cameron Grey freestyled for him in a parking lot:
Later that night he almost interrupted Beck’s Grammy acceptance speech
But then ranted about The Grammys backstage:
“I don’t even know what [Beck] said. I just know that, the Grammys, if they want real artists to keep coming back, they need to stop playing with us. We aren’t going to play with them no more. ‘Flawless.’ Beyoncé’s video. And Beck needs to respect artistry, he should have given his award to Beyoncé. At this point, we tired of it.”
He attempted to clarify the Grammy comments and hooked up a fan with some of his Yeezy boost sneakers at the airport: “I wasn’t saying Beck, I was saying the Grammys,” West clarified. “Beyoncé should’ve won that award, you know that…C’mon, I love Beck, but he didn’t have the album of the year.”
