Chicago Bulls Fans Held A Vigil For Derrick Rose’s Knees #Pray4Rose

It’s been one hell of a career for Chicago Bull Derrick Rose. After suffering his third tragic injury on the court earlier this season, his fans are mourning. This past Sunday (Mar 8), Chicagoans all over the city decided to set up a vigil for Rose’s knees. No, this is serious. They’re really focusing all of their heart-filled prayers on both his left and right knees.

Rose has suffered several injuries since he took home the NBA’s Most Valuable Player award at the end of the 2010-11 season. Not long afterwards, Rose tore the ACL in his left knee during the 2012 NBA Playoffs and missed the rest of the season to recuperate. The following year, Rose tore the meniscus in his right knee and was forced to sit out to heal once again. After finally making a full recovery, Rose came back and tore his meniscus again earlier this season.

The vigil is located under the Fullerton Underpass in Chicago. A mural was created for D. Rose and is currently surrounded by flowers and framed photos of Rose when he got his injuries on the court. There’s also a set of crutches, candles and more tokens of appreciation from fans everywhere. While it’s certain that Bulls fans mean well, it’s obvious that some are trolling the hell out of him. Get well soon, D Rose.
