Looks like Kanye may never need to put that teddy bear head on ever again, thanks to the Art Institute of Chicago.
Kanye told Clique that the prestigious school would be giving him an honorary degree soon. “I was a gifted artist since age five and won national competitions and went to art school,” Kanye elaborated. “I’m actually getting an honorary doctorate on May 5th from the Art Institute of Chicago.”
This is the same interview in which he called racism a “dated” concept, which is problematic in its own way. “It’s like a bouncing ball in a room with two cats, or something, when you don’t feel like playing with a cat,” West said. “Let them literally fight over the bouncing ball. And the bouncing ball has nothing, no purpose, anything other than that: It bounces,” continued the rapper. “That’s racism. It’s not an actual thing that even means anything.”
