*UPDATE: This is a mess. Interscope has taken Kendrick’s album off iTunes and put it back on pre-order. It’s a completely mystifying move, but the head of Top Dawg tweeted his disappointment about the album’s release last night. Regardless of who’s making the call, it doesn’t make any sense to have an album on sale for less than 12 hours, only to withdraw it after people have downloaded it. We’ll keep you updated as we learn more.

Well, well, well. Lookey here. Kendrick pulls an even faster trick than the rest of them, announcing his album release date (March 23) and then actually dropping the album on iTunes a week before.
