It goes without saying at this point that over a week ahead of its intended release date, Kendrick Lamar’s third studio album To Pimp A Butterfly has broken streaming records and surpassed most everyone’s expectations; it’s even projected to sell at least 350k units in the United States in its first week, which is amazing for any artist in a modern context. Now, Kendrick is coming to New York to say thanks to his fans through TDE and Rough Trade Records.

Starting tomorrow afternoon (March 20) at 1 p.m., the first 2,000 fans to cop a physical copy of TPAB at the Williamsburg, Brooklyn record shop will get a wristband for a signing with TDE’s golden boy at 3 p.m. It’s first come first served, and I wouldn’t be surprised if there wasn’t already a bevy of fans lined up on 9th Ave. already. If you’re in the tri-state area, I’d recommend heading out, supporting a great album, and meeting one of this generation’s most thoughtful and gifted emcees.
