Lil Wayne has finally given up some new information about his upcoming Free Weezy album during his performance in Miami. The Young Money CEO hit the stage at the Red Bull Guest House over the weekend for Miami Music Week along with Mannie Fresh, The Roots drummer Questlove and G.O.O.D Music producer Hudson Mohawke. Weezy busted out the hits for hundreds of partygoers including “Mrs. Officer,” “We Be Steady Mobbin,” “No Worries,” and “I’m Goin In.”
In between his set, Wayne revealed that he will be dropping his highly-publicized Free Weezy album next month. If the album is released, it will be his second project of 2015 following his Sorry For The Wait 2 mixtape. For the unfamiliar, the album is a result of Birdman’s treacherous hold on Wayne’s anticipated Carter V album, which was supposed to be released last year. Even though Wayne’s $51 million dollar lawsuit against Birdman and Cash Money Records is still in progress, it sounds like we’ll be hearing new music from the “Believe Me” rapper sooner than later.
