Rappers are being accused of robbing their fans left and right, and the latest emcee to face this claim is none other than DMX.
DMX, whose real name is Earl Simmons, was accused of robbing a 21-year-old fan at an Exxon gas station off of Highway 21 in Newark, NJ early this afternoon (Sunday, April 5), according to Page Six. The fan recognized X and his entourage, and had a gun pulled on him after a short conversation, where X allegedly stole $3,200 from him before hopping into his Cadillac Escalade, according to Newark Police spokesperson Sgt. Ronald Glover.
X was performing as a part of the Masters of Ceremony show at the New Jersey Performing Arts Center (NJPAC) tonight. No charges have been filed yet, but who knows what’s gonna happen?
