Lil Wayne Drops Lawsuit Against Birdman’s Cash Money Records

*UPDATE: Karen Civil says Wayne has not dropped the lawsuit, but just moved it to New Orleans. We’ll keep you updated as we learn more.

*UPDATE #2: Lil Wayne’s lawyer Ron Sweeney tells Rolling Stone what’s going on:

“We gave them until [Monday], April 6th to file an answer,” Sweeney says. “[Cash Money] said they were going to challenge the venue, so at that point, it was a waste of time and money, so we all agreed that we would dismiss the action [in New York] and Wayne and [his record label] Young Money would re-file in New Orleans.”

“The claims previously asserted by Lil Wayne and Young Money LLC against Cash Money for substantial monies owed and breach of fiduciary duty have not been settled and will be prosecuted in Louisiana as expeditiously as possible,” added his team.

In a stunning change of events just days after video surfaced of Wayne saying “Fuck Cash Money” onstage at a show, it seems like Weezy has had a change of heart.

JasmineBrand has gotten ahold of documents that seem to confirm Wayne and his legal team have filed for voluntary dismissal of all charges against Birdman and Cash Money Records. Yeah…we’re just as confused as you are.
