Lucasfilm and director J. J Abrams are preparing Star Wars fans young and old to embark on a brand new adventure through the galaxy far, far away. A new, extended trailer for the next-gen reboot Star Wars: The Force Awakens surfaced on YouTube earlier today. The film is expected to take place 30 years after the events that transpired in Star Wars: Return Of The Jedi.
Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher and Mark Hamill will be back to reprise their roles along with a cast of fresh faces including Lupita Nyong’o. Although the story will follow a new generation of Jedis, the film will also give us an update on Luke Skywalker, Princess Leia, Hans Solo and their budding offspring. For all those fans that still feel nostalgic about the action-packed, intergalactic drama, this trailer will most likely make you shed tears of pure joy. Star Wars: The Force Awakens is slated to be released this Christmas. Watch the trailer above.
