The Best Performances From The Last Weekend Of Coachella That You Missed [VIDEO]

It was a busy weekend in Indio, California with the second weekend of Coachella. The closing performances were filled with plenty of surprises that no one would have expected. Rapper/actor DMX popped up during DJ Snake’s set in the Sahara Tent while Ciara premiered a new EDM track with R3hab. But let’s face it, the real stars of the weekend like Kanye West, Drake and Run The Jewels couldn’t be ignored.

Drake put Madonna’s vomit-inducing make-out session behind him and closed out the last weekend by performing songs like “The Motto” and his verse in “Truffle Butter.” But he got his own surprise on-stage when Nicki Minaj herself walked out rocking her signature pink hair and what looks to be Meek Mill’s plaid shirt. “It’s been too long mama,” said Drake before giving her a quick hug reinforcing his long-standing place in her friend-zone.

Kanye West’s well-kept secret appearance during The Weeknd’s set gave his fans a shock they would have never expected. After Abel Tesfaye crooned the hook for “Heartless,” West came out to perform a brief medley of his hits like “Can’t Tell Me Nothing,” “Black Skinhead,” and “Don’t Like (Remix).” He spent a majority of the weekend performing “All Day” everywhere, including at a club following his appearance with The Weeknd.

Killer Mike and El-P of Run The Jewels also gave a much more live performance this weekend than last week. They performed the same songs like “All Due Respect” and “Love Again” but the crowd was a lot more engaging once they brought Travis Barker and Gangsta Boo to perform her collaborative hits off Run The Jewels 2.
