As hip-hop continues to enjoy more ubiquity, the actual practitioners of the art form are being called up to teach the finer points of its history and technique to future generations. Following in the footsteps of artists like 9th Wonder and Bun B, producer K-Salaam (who has worked with Tech N9ne, Young Buck, Talib Kweli, Bun B, Freddie Gibbs, Big K.R.I.T. and more) will be teaching a Music Production course this Summer at the Clive Davis Institute of Recorded Music at Tisch / NYU.
The course is not limited to NYU students, but is open to almost anyone who wants to learn about the Art of Music Production. The course runs from June 15th to July 2nd and you can CLICK HERE for info on how to sign up and how much it will cost.
His partner in production Beatnick is currently the head studio engineer at the High School for Recording Arts in St. Paul, MN and will be heading to Africa soon to record a solo project.
