Arsonal Says Hollow Da Don & Charlie Clips’ NOME 5 Battle Was “Ass Juice”

According to battle rapper Arsonal, this weekend’s highly-anticipated battle between Hollow Da Don and Charlie Clips was “ass juice.” This past Saturday (May 9), Smack URL hosted its sold-out NOME 5 event at Irving Plaza in Manhattan. Amongst the list of ferocious lyricists, Hollow Da Don and Charlie Clips faced off in the most-talked about battle in recent months.

Hollow’s first two rounds were stacked with quotables, but the crowd really went wild once Hollow trolled Clips with t-shirts of his now-trademarked phrase “Sike, I Lied.” As a counter strike, Clips went after Hollow as well as his boy Cortez in the second round. Although some believe Clips had the upper hand, Hollow won the battle. Afterwards, Arsonal took to Twitter to reveal his true feelings about the lyrical melee, and reminded his followers that he’s still undefeated.

Aside from Hollow shaming Clips hardbody, NOME 5 also featured female battle rapper O’fficial, who beat out defending champ Jaz. DNA set fire to Serius Jones with his freestyles and won their battle. Tsu Surf and Tay Roc finally finished their battle after being rushed due to time. But perhaps the most shocking (and mainstream) moment of the night was Drake’s brief appearance after Hollow and Clips’ battle. Drizzy took the stage to confirm whether or not he would battle Murda Mook.

“You gotta beat Surf before you see me,” said Drake.

We’ll see if the OVO chief really follows through with his word. Stay tuned for the official footage from NOME 5 to judge for yourself.
