Former Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney is risking his eyesight to help others see better. The 68-year-old politician will be squaring off against former heavy weight champ Evander Holyfield in a charity boxing match on May 14th. The bout hopes to raise $1 Million for Charity Vision, a Utah-based nonprofit focused on helping people in developing countries with vision problems. Romney’s son Josh is the volunteer part-time president of the organization.
In the promo clip Romney says “it’s true, I don’t have much of a right hook. But when I get somebody’s ear, I can quite formidable.” The quip was in reference to Mike Tyson biting off Holyfield’s ear during their rematch in 1997.
Romney is used to getting beat so this should be interesting.
