New York City doesn’t seem too receptive to Dame Dash’s real estate endeavors. Back in 2011, his performance space/studio/artist hangout DD172 was accused by the city of serving liquor without a license, among a myriad of other complaints. Now Dame’s Poppington Gallery is the next to go.
Last week the city Marshal visited 60 Orchard Street, the address of Dame’s Poppington art space, and as a result of that visit, the landlord is now in possession of the spot. At this time, we don’t know the specific reason why the space has been repossessed, though Dame shed light on his other court dealings with Larry King recently.
