Danny Brown is apparently a Spotify user, and he’s got just one playlist available to the public that serves as a bizarre ride into his deep love for music.
The playlist, which is currently at 81 songs and over five and a half hours long, features artists from all genres – Too Short, Joy Division, Sufjan Stevens, Charles Hamilton, Chief Keef, Incubus, and other eclectic picks give us a close look at some of the influences that inform Danny’s music. He’s also talked about how songs like Joy Division’s “Atrocity Exhibition” helped him through rough times.
Other notable inclusion include Egyptian Lover, DJ Assault, Chino XL, Korn, and Main Attrakionz. Plus, there are songs he included that aren’t available on Spotify, like Lil B’s “Wonton Soup,” Loose Ends’ “Hanging On A String,” Hov’s “Politics As Usual,” The LOX’s “Not To Be Fucked With,” and Cannibal Ox’s “Iron Galaxy.” In other words, it’s dope as fuck. Check out the playlist below.
