Kanye West’s new album SWISH has been hanging in the balance for months now, ever since he dropped the “All Day” single that was supposed to be a lot bigger than it is right now. While it seemed like Ye was prepping for an album release in the near future, it looks like things have been put on hold until the fall.
According to a new article in The Guardian, SWISH will be dropping this autumn. The delay is understandable, as Kim is also preparing to give birth to a baby boy. Many have their fears about Ye’s new music, as he told Paper Magazine that he is “70 percent” focused on apparel. Pitchfork also outlined the bumpy road that Kanye has been on since Yeezus.
Elsewhere in the Guardian piece, Kanye compared himself to Michelangelo, da Vinci, and Galileo: “Imagine if da Vinci or Michelangelo or Galileo were asked not to think of anything except for the one thing they first became famous for. So da Vinci could only have one idea. For all haters, I’m not saying I’m da Vinci, but I feel it’s right for any human being to compare themselves to anything.”
