Jean Grae’s “iSweaterGawd” Is A Violently Fashionable Sunday Sermon

For every Jean Grae fan that has been waiting patiently between her TV appearances and R&B albums for her to serve up a full serving of that “ignorant shit we like” she just  dropped off her collab project with Quelle Chris, iSweaterGawd.

“It is totally a rap album. It’s got 92292772922982373 words on it,” she writes in a note to subscribers to her Band Camp page. “It’s produced by Quelle Chris (we really like working together) who also raps on it and WHAAAAAT?!?? It also features Tanya Morgan. I love those guys…It’s about a lot of things. One of the songs on “iSweatergawd” is something that’s taken me a year to write. I started last year and really just broke down everytime. I finally finished it and I’m proud.”

The six-track EP finds Jean blacking out like New York City in ’77 (which featured way more savagery than the one in 2003). Stream it below and drop some coins in the collection plate for it here.

Jean will also be releasing a follow-up to the sexy R&B project 5 called SAIX very, very soon.
